Once you have your data, you need to do something with it. Many times it will be visualizations such as Charts or Dashboards, other times it will be just using it in the grids to better understand it. But there will be times when you need to generate a report that can be shared or printed.
InSights Into Data has a full featured enterprise ready report design and printing feature.
Reports - Starting
Once you have the data in the Grid – you can design a report – by clicking the Design Report button. See the button the Red Arrow is pointing to in the screen capture above.
That will display the screen shown below – the Report Designer.
Reports - Designer
The above screen shot shows the InSights Into Data report designer. Here you can see a simple report based on three two fields of the table shown to the right.
This designer will allow you to create very complex reports (enterprise level) with grouping, page breaks, crosstabs, images, etc.
Reports - Printing / Exporting
When you choose to print a report – it prints it to the default report viewer. It does not print directly to the printer.
This allows the user to choose which printer, layout, etc. to use.
It also allows you to choose a export format such as PDF, HTML, Excel, Text, CSV, and a variety of Image formats.
